I am wife to a wonderful man, the proud Mom to 3 girls born in China and now daughters of Ireland, and best pal of our little dog "Pepper". I have volunteered with LWB for 7 years now and every day I can't wait to read my emails and work with our vast volunteer and China staff on making "just one more child" know the warmth and healing of our special care homes.
My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year
Right from holding my very first baby born with cleft lip in my arms several years ago in China, I have been drawn to these little people with the wide grin and expressive eyes! One of the biggest thrills for me after a new baby comes into our cleft healing home is to see that smile emerge ... to see the expression change in their eyes to one of fun, curiosity and wonder. To know that this wee baby now has a chance at being whatever they want to be. That once they reach surgery weight they are eliminating another barrier and can go on scaling those barriers to truly be who they were born to be! I have been given the privilege to witness this. I continue in awe as the Director of Love Without Boundaries Healing Homes Program. Thanks for being part of our team and through your financial support allowing this work to continue.
