I am 9 years old and like to play baseball and other sports. I'm looking forward to playing with my new brother, David, who is 12 years old and living in China now. He likes sports too. He will be home this fall. I also have a little brother who was born in China with a cleft lip and palate and know that he's just a regular kid. I have a few other brothers and sisters too - like 6 more. Soon we will have our own baseball team!
My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year
I'm running for babies like Max. Max was a baby in an orphanage in China who died from complications of being born with a cleft lip and palate. I do not want this to happen to another baby, that's why I'm running and raising money for Love Without Boundaries.

I'm participating on behalf of Max. Max came to Anhui Cleft Healing Home at 4 months old weighing just 7 pounds. He was very sick when he arrived with pneumonia and other infections. Despite the best efforts of the doctors at Anhui Children's Hospital and 10 days in PICU, little Max didn't make it. We know he is no longer suffering, but are working very hard so that no other baby has to suffer the way Max did.
