- Always wanted to run the LA Marathon course but only want to run 13.1 miles. Now you can! Find a friend - and form a two person team! On March 18, 2012, you can experience traffic free streets in Los Angeles as roads are blocked off for runners for the LA Marathon. The 2012 LA Marathon starts at Dodger Stadium and runs past some of LA's most famous landmarks and through diverse neighborhoods with festivities all along the course - there is literally an LA Landmark every mile! The biggest festivities will take place at the Finish Line Festival on the Santa Monica Pier. The funds raised by TeamLWB in the LA Marathon will go directly to provide life changing medical care for an orphan in China through the LWB Medical Program. We'll help train you - so there's no experience necessary - first time marathoners, walkers, experienced runners are all welcome! Join us for this life changing event!
