I'm participating on behalf of Julia. Julia entered LWB’s Heartbridge Healing Unit after a long stay in the hospital. She’d had several bouts of pneumonia and then heart surgery to repair a ventricular petal defect (VSD: a hole in her heart). She comes from Anqing in Anhui Province, and was 13 months old when she arrived at Heartbridge. Unable to even sit on her own at that age, Julia has made amazing progress and was actually standing just three months later! She is the sweetheart of the home, but you have to watch out for her: Julia’s favorite game of “walker derby” can be a little hard on visitors’ feet if they aren’t looking down!
