Brian Glass
Welcome to my website
In the last two years I graduated law school, passed the bar, quit my first job, got a new one, got married and bought a house. I used to tell that story thinking that life would eventually settle down. It hasn't. I'm fine with that.
My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year
Finishing a marathon has been on my to-do list for several years now. I trained for the MCM back in 2007, but was sidelined with an injury about halfway through. I've gotten myself back in shape (though I'm much slower than I used to be) and I'm running for LWB because it's a wonderful organization that provides surgeries, medical supplies, food, and shelter to children who otherwise wouldn't have much of anything.
Fund-Raising
Goal: $750.00
To date: $540.00
I'm participating on behalf of Alan. Alan was born with a unilateral cleft lip and palate in April 2010. He arrived at LWB’s Henan Cleft Healing Home in May. The first few days were difficult for him because he had a mouth infection that made feeding even more difficult. But the Henan Cleft Healing Home staff is well trained to gently clean his mouth and administer medication. Before long, he was gaining weight quickly. Night time is a little difficult for Alan as he is waking with night terrors but having his nanny close by helps to settle him.
