Nelvin Johnson

Welcome to my website

If you are visiting this page, you probably know me fairly well, so I'm not going to waste your time with minor details. But you should know that I appreciate every single person who donates (whether it be love, prayer, or money.. but in this case, money would be great=).. ) Aside from that?

I love the outdoors.. if I could live outside, I would. And still might someday..
I love challenges (obviously.)
I love my blackberry (or crackberry, i know i know..)
I love the rain (touch the rain.. you know who you are)
I love singing (it's not about how bad I am, its about the fact that i love to do it!)
I love showers .. they make me feel warm inside
I have an extremely high tolerance for spicy food, annoying people, and stress.
Most of all, I love my family and friends to death.

But my life would be nothing without my God that gives me life, pours His radical love into me, and shows me how to do the same.

My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year

I never thought I would be competing in a marathon but I took it as a challenge. Now, as I train I have found a new sense of passion in fitness and have found how amazing it feels to set goals and then work so hard to achieve them. The best part about it is that this rule does not just apply to running or working out - it applies to every part of life.

My motivation for this event comes from the fact that I believe anyone can achieve whatever they put their mind too as long as they are willing to put in the work and appreciate the journey that takes them to that destination.

I'm participating on behalf of Emily. Emily was born in March of this year, and came to LWB’s Heartbridge Healing home from the Li Cheng orphanage in Fujian Province. Emily was born with her bladder on the outside of her body. The Heartbridge nursing staff is ensuring that her abdomen and exposed bladder remain free of infection. So far Emily is gaining nicely, and she should be ready for her very complicated surgery in just a few more months.
