I began running last year for the Cleveland 10k as a means to enjoy time with my husband while getting some exercise. While my husband and I rarely run together (he is much faster than me), and I am a slow runner, I do enjoy running on a nice day!
My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year
I feel very blessed in my life that I have my health, family and success. I think it is very important to help others less fortunate. I believe any gesture, big or small, makes some sort of difference. This charitable opportunity along with staying healthy by running is why I am committed to LWB.

I'm participating on behalf of Gwen. Gwen is a beautiful 8 month-old baby girl with an intestinal defect. Her caregivers have said she is a happy baby that eats well and says ‘yah, yah’ whenever she wants to eat. She was waiting for her surgery when she developed complications and needed to be rushed for emergency surgery. We are waiting for updates on her condition and praying she will do well with her surgery.
