I started running again a few years ago when a friend entered my in the Akron Marathon. This is also a fun time for my daughter she enjoys running with mommy in the stroller.
My motivation to participate with Team LWB this year
My daughter was adopted from China in March 2007. We have been very blessed with a beautiful vibrant little girl who has touched many lives. Running for this charity provides the children in China an opportunity to also touch many lives through adoption. This is also a positive means to keep my daughter connected to her heritage.

I'm participating on behalf of Gwen. Gwen is a beautiful 8 month-old baby girl with an intestinal defect. Her caregivers have said she is a happy baby that eats well and says ‘yah, yah’ whenever she wants to eat. She was waiting for her surgery when she developed complications and needed to be rushed for emergency surgery. We are waiting for updates on her condition and praying she will do well with her surgery.
